A community
built on
the diamond.

Curveball is a non-profit youth baseball league for kids in town. We teach the fundamentals, keep practices fun, and play every game on a real grass field — the way it should be.

Curveball
01the league

Volunteer-run.
Player-first.

Curveball was founded in 1978 by three parents who wanted a league where every kid got an at-bat, every kid played the field, and the score mattered a little less than the lessons. Almost fifty years later, that hasn't changed.

We're entirely volunteer-run. Your registration fee covers uniforms, equipment, field maintenance, and end-of-season trophies — and not one cent goes to a salary.

T-ball
Ages 5–6

Hit off the tee, run the bases, learn what a glove is for. Practices are once a week, games are Saturday mornings.

Rookies
Ages 7–8

Coach-pitch league. Real positions, half-innings, kids start to feel the rhythm of a game. Two practices, one game per week.

Minors
Ages 9–10

Kid-pitch with a 60-foot mound. We track stats, but no standings. Focus is on consistent mechanics and team play.

Majors
Ages 11–12

Full Little-League rules, 70-foot bases, a published standings table, and a city-wide playoff series each July.

The questions we get every spring.

What does registration include?+

Full uniform (jersey, pants, hat, belt, socks), one season trophy, and access to all weekday practices and weekend games. Cleats and a glove are not included.

Do you offer scholarships?+

Yes. If the registration fee is a barrier for your family, email us at scholarships@curveball.org. No paperwork, no questions asked.

Can my child play up a division?+

Sometimes. We make exceptions based on a tryout with the division director — usually for siblings or kids with prior travel-ball experience.

What if my child has never played?+

Perfect — that's most of T-ball and a good chunk of Rookies. Show up to a practice and we'll have a glove on the kid in fifteen minutes.
